Next Mile vs HubSpot CRM: Which Is Better for a Growing Service Business?
How Next Mile and HubSpot compare for Nigerian freelancers and small teams who need to find clients, pitch them, and get paid in naira.
For Nigerian freelancers, creatives and small businesses of 1 to 20 people who find their own clients, pitch them, and invoice in naira. · Last reviewed
The short answer
HubSpot is a mature, very broad customer platform with a free CRM for up to 2 users, a large app marketplace, and Professional and Enterprise tiers for bigger sales and marketing teams. Its prices are in US dollars and per seat. Next Mile is built for one person or a small team in Nigeria: it finds businesses to pitch with evidence you can check (their website, Google listing, Instagram and YouTube activity), drafts the pitch, follows the deal, and sends naira invoices with Paystack checkout. If you need a large-company sales and marketing stack, HubSpot fits better. If you need clients and naira payments with one small monthly price, Next Mile does.

Where HubSpot is strong
- A free CRM with no time limit, for up to 2 users and 1,000 contacts.
- Over 2,000 apps in its integrations marketplace.
- Separate hubs for marketing, sales, service, content and data, so a growing company can add depth in one area.
- Professional and Enterprise tiers built for larger sales and marketing teams.
- A large learning library in HubSpot Academy and an active user community.
- AI agents for customer service, prospecting and data upkeep, paid for with HubSpot Credits.
Where HubSpot may fall short
- Prices are in US dollars, so the cost in naira moves with the exchange rate.
- Paid Sales Hub plans are priced per seat, so each person you add raises the bill.
- Sales Hub Professional requires a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee on top of the subscription.
- HubSpot payments only works for businesses in the US, UK and Canada. A Nigerian business would need another processor such as Stripe.
- Its AI agents run on HubSpot Credits, an extra allowance to plan and budget for.
Choose Next Mile if…
- You are a freelancer, creative or small team in Nigeria and want to pay one naira price each month.
- You need to find businesses to pitch, with evidence you can check before you reach out.
- Many of your buyers live on Instagram or YouTube rather than on a website.
- You pitch over WhatsApp and Instagram as much as over email.
- You want to send naira invoices and take Paystack payments from the same place you track the deal.
Choose HubSpot if…
- You need a free CRM for two people and do not need prospecting or invoicing yet.
- You rely on apps from HubSpot's marketplace that Next Mile does not connect to.
- You run a larger sales or marketing team that needs Professional or Enterprise features.
- Your business is in the US, UK or Canada and you want HubSpot payments.
Moving to Next Mile
Export your contacts from HubSpot as a CSV (HubSpot's guide: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/import-and-export/export-records). In Next Mile, go to Contacts → Import and upload it. Columns named First Name, Last Name, Email and Phone Number are recognised. Rename "Company Name" to "Company" before you upload. Contacts with an email or phone that is already in Next Mile are skipped, never overwritten. One file can hold up to 5,000 rows and 2 MB. HubSpot zips CSV exports over 2 MB, so unzip them first and split large files. Deals, notes and invoices do not come across: add open deals to your Next Mile pipeline by hand.
How Mile Finder decides who to show you
Mile Finder looks for businesses on Google listings and the web, then visits each one's website and, where it links to one, its Instagram business account or YouTube channel. What it sees is saved as observed evidence with a link to where it saw it. A free score ranks the businesses on six factors you can read.
When you ask Mile AI to look closer, it numbers the evidence and may only point to those numbers. If none of them support an opportunity, it says there is not enough public information and your credits come back.
Instagram and YouTube
Many restaurants, salons, hotels and event centres have no website but post every week. Next Mile reads business and creator Instagram accounts through Instagram's official API, and YouTube channels through the YouTube Data API. It notes follower counts, when they last posted and how much of it is video. It never scrapes Instagram, and a personal account gives no finding.
What it costs to try
A new workspace starts with a 30-day free trial. Mile Finder includes a number of free businesses found each month. After that, finding, analysing and pitching use Mile AI credits, which each plan includes every month.
Getting paid
Quotes become invoices in one step. Invoices carry VAT, download as PDF, can repeat every week, month, quarter or year, and include a Paystack link so customers can pay in naira.
